I am a digital storyteller, arts journalist, public relations coordinator, social media strategist and video editor, working full-time in communications and seeking out freelance opportunities. I’m passionate about human interest in-depth features and arts and culture coverage. As an arts journalist, I want to turn people onto good art and support theatre artists. I also want to give useful critiques, hold the art form and industry as a whole to a high standard and never compromise for anything less than what I know is right to me. Providing more ways into stories through multimedia — whether it’s video, photography or graphic design — makes it even better.
Over the past few years, I've developed a passion for social media engagement and writing for public relations as well, and am beginning to pivot to marketing, press and outreach work as I continue to grow as a public relations professional. Creating connections through media relations is something I hope to delve more into.

News AND Features
Writing was my way into journalism, and I couldn't imagine my world without it. I am experienced in writing for many different beats. I am especially interested in arts criticism and features focused on social justice and diversity. I have recently been writing a lot about how COVID-19 is impacting the arts. Here, you can see examples of my news reporting, features and reviews.
Multimedia
I have really grown to love using multimedia in my works of journalism. I'm particularly interested in using video and layout design to create news packages and tell multifaceted stories. I also have experience with web design, using basic HTML/CSS, Squarespace and Wix. Here are some examples of my work in multimedia journalism and online projects!
Marketing AND Social Media
I've grown to love applying my writing, multimedia and communication skills to public relations work. I love engaging with audiences, coming up with the perfect captions, compiling information and making it engaging for press releases and emails, and capturing the essence of an organization through design.
